It is hard to reply to this message without plugging my
company, so in the spirit of fairness I will also
mention my competition. There are a number of services
that give small business advertisers an opportunity to
buy web ads at a price they can afford. Smartage has a
media buyer that lets an advertiser buy on a specific
website via a web interface. Digital Root has a
similar service but added a banner creation system that
gives small budget advertisers a way to create a banner
for their campaign. Both these systems however only
allow you to choose one site at a time to target.
Now for the plug, the AdAce Network gives small
business advertisers the ability to create campaigns
across many big brand and smaller niche sites via a
single web interface. Advertisers can pick and choose
the targets and the sites they wish to advertise on.
The Ad-O-Matic ad creator offers an easy way to design
animated and static ads via the web browser with
integrated campaign submission and ad storage. There
are also ad exchange networks like adexchange,
adoutlet, One Media Place, and broker based systems
like the Mediapost immediabuy system. We will probably
be seeing many more web based companies looking to
offer services to the small local business as it is a
huge market and is getting bigger everyday. Best of
luck to you and your business!
