Online population

Good day. My name is Rick and I am a media planner for
BAM Solutions; an on-line advertising agency
headquartered in Montreal. Does anyone know how many
people are on-line today (end of 2000)? I am curious
more than anything. I have a an estimate based on what
I read about, but I am sure that the answers will vary.
I mean, how many people log onto the Internet
worldwide, at least once a week? What about Canada? The
U.S.? I have found that the numbers in Mediametrix,
Forrester, or even PCdata have quite a discrepancy.
