WAP & i-mode

Good day to you,

Accessing the web through wireless means, most notably
through a mobile phone is now starting to become a
reality in the European (WAP) and Japanese (i-mode)
marketplaces. In Japan some 17 million people regularly
access the net through NTT Docomo's i-mode protocol.
Many of the global corporates I have recently spoken
to have WAP, i-mode or broadband wireless plans and yet
I see hardly any discussion on this list about the
implications to 'traditional'online marketing.

Every now and again a Japanese phenomina sweeps the US,
I would really be interested to hear from anyone on
the list who is involved in evaluating or creating
i-mode applications or marketing campaigns for the US
or global marketplaces.
