Advertising alternatives - help!

Hi folks. I've run a site that has been ad-based for
over a year with ads being served through one of the ad
serving networks. Our number of impressions have
steadily increased (currently 750,000 per month) while
the CPM's have steadily decreased (less than $1 CPM in
December). On top of that the ad network recently
raised their commissions. In January, CPM has plummeted
to way less than $1. The site is quite popular - 3000
visitors a day, 1000 of them new, staying an average of
20+ minutes.

At these ad rates, I cannot keep the site going. I'm
switching over to a shareware business model
reluctantly, but if anyone has got a viable alternative
suggestion, please contact me.
