Hi Michael,
I believe that a good definition for a skyscraper ad
would be a vertical banner. I really don't think that
there will be a standard size for these anytime soon,
for example a standard size for a button is 120x90, but
they can be many sizes and called many things, it
really depends on the site.
Each site is unique and has it's own design, therefore
the creative and specifications can be unique as well,
depending on what space is available. Personally, I
like the vertical banners because they are much more
noticeable. Even though we have had some success with
these, I feel that you need to test 2 or 3 of them at
the same time to see what works best. We are running a
125x400 on the My Simon site for one of our clients,
and it's going quite well. Personally I like the
125x400, or the 240x400 the most. Good luck to you,
