Your list could be big enough right now depending on
your industry. If your list was based in a very general
readership (general music lovers, for example), then I
would consider 2,800 to be a very small number. On the
other hand, I maintain an e-newsletter for jewelry
manufacturers and designers that has a little over
1,000 subscribers. Because my list has a very targeted
focus, 1,000 subscribers with a very specific buying
interest is pretty good (but still not good enough by
my standards...).

As far as pricing, in my industry most folk are paying
about $85-100 per insertion into a weekly e-newsletter
with a 50-100 word text ad. I would be interested in
hearing what other folk are doing out there.
