I saw this topic, just as I am struggling with a
decision about target="_blank". I my case, it's not
just for advertising (although we are considering that
too), but also for practical reasons. When people
take a personality or IQ test on our site, we offer
them a number of links to various resources directly
from the results page (which is dynamically generated).
To prevent loss of their results, I would like to
launch a new window when they click on one of the links
(many lead to other pages on our site). This would be
especially helpful from framed pages, especially
member areas where they need ot log in.

Now the problem is this: I may be wrong, but I think
that at some point, AOL was blocking this command, so
none of the AOL users was able to get through to the
linked content. Is this still true?
