IS Newspaper still the KING?

Our online PR efforts keep coming back to one truth -
most of our customers still get their daily fix of news
from their local newspaper. Is this ever going to
change? and What does it mean for all the talk around
moving the focus of PR campaigns to the net, many times
exclusively, bypassing the traditional media.

So the question is: Where does a business get the most
bang for its PR dollar today? In other words, if you
could get your company some online press or a story in
the local paper what would bring the most benefit
(perceived or otherwise)?

We are currently conducting a poll to find out

current thinking is. So far newspapers are taking it
hands down.
