Launching a new window is fine

I've been the recipient of pop-up Windows on exiting
Web site and I do serve them myself on my own
Smallbiztechnology.com

What I do think is wrong is having 2 or more pop up
Windows - like porn sites do. If you go to some gov
and political orientated sites but type the wrong
domain name or spell the URL wrong...you get sent to a
pron site. but as you try to leave they throw up
window, after window, after windo of pop up ads. THAT
is wrong!

At PathMark, my local grocery store, when you lave the
check out line, with your receipt you get coupons.
Let's extend this to the door - as you leave you are
handed some coupons.

On my web site I have a popup window open (not on exit
though - on entry) and this has been a HUGE cause for
an increase in subscribers to my newsletter.

There's always people who get annoyed about this and
about that...but publishers have to make money to.
We've got so used to free stuff, now we don't even
want others to make money.
