You forgot "Trade publications". Every industry has its
set of publications, weekly and monthly glossy or newsprint
magazines. Don't under-estimate this market! I can't speak
for them now but when I did PR for TUCOWS, a great deal
of their business back then came in through monthly computer
magazines. Campaigns aimed at TV and daily newspapers almost
never did as well. The monthly industry rags work better for
the following reasons:

1) Highly targeted audience
2) Often better price for the amount of coverage
3) Less "clutter" (seen the Sun lately?)
4) People actually do buy/pick them up as much for the
   ads as for the "content"
- they are in a buying mood when they are reading.
