Text adv advice for new service
I've talked, yaked and opinionated for months (years?) on this
list about all things online advertising...now it's time for me
to put more of my money where my mouth is.
I've only done very limited online advertising in the past
($50 at Goto.com and things like that). In addition, I've
been looking for some huge investor to put some chunk
of cash into http://www.smallbiztechnology.com -
the money has not come in YET (and my never come).
But in the mean time I've been saving money and will
continue to boot strap smallbiztechnology.com on my own
(like Andy at Clickz.com has done).
I've got a very small (butgrowing) advertising budget and
want your help in how to use it. Over the next few weeks,
I'll be advertising for two purposes a) building an audience
for smallbiztechnology.com overall (to attract small businesses)
and b) raising awareness of and generating customers for
smallbiztechnology.com's online consulting services.
Let's say that for now my online adv budget is starting
out at only $5,000. My plan is to leverage the low cost, but
highly targeted media of Goto.com, Adwords.google.com and
Ask's text based contextual advertising. What do you think?
http://www.smallbiztechnology.com will be building an online
consulting service and I'd like to start advertising this service.
It's $200 per month and is strategic tech consulting for small
businesses. Not "how to" questions, like how do I bold in Word
or something, but more so, what solutions are there for
tele-commuting, or wireless networking and etc.
Could I get some advice in using these text based, bid type,
advertising media. I've used Goto.com's solutions and like it
a lot, but the more advice the better, before I begin.
