opt-in e-mail list software for multiple list

I've been bouncing this idea around in my head lately
and thought I would ask everyone on the list for some
feedback:

We currently have a monthly nursing e-zine that goes
out to 75,000 opt-in subscribers. We are considering
creating several additional opt-in list for permission
marketing that our audience could subscribe to if they
wish to get special offers from relevant companies.

For example, we could have a list for continuing education,
nursing products and apparel, nursing publications,
nursing employment etc...

Our advertisers could send out their message through
our opt-in list to reach a highly targeted permission
granted list and our audience could get the relevant
information that they want, we get additional revenue,
win, win, win.

My question, is there any reliable software out there
that has a subscriber database, where it keeps a subscribers
profile, with all the list or topics that they want to
subscribe to? I know I could set up multiple list, but
I want them integrated some how, so people don't
receive multiple e-mails if they subscribe to multiple list.

I hope this makes sense, looking forward to everyone's feedback.
