Forgive my ignorance, But I think of Sears as a brand
name. Probably because of what you have said about the
way it was marketed. To brand a service is different
than branding an tangible product. I find this
interesting, because the two businesses I have owned
have been service oriented, but I always considered
them to be a tangible product as well. Maybe this is
where I'm going wrong. I guess I felt that way because
I was working with the tangible goods, and created the
tangible goods in some cases, but as a service. As an
example the one business I owed in the past was a
contracting business to the fashion trade, a service
type business, I took their product, which was designed
clothing, and produced it for them, but in some cases,
I took their idea for a design and made patterns for it
and then produced it. And now I'm a graphic/web designer,
is that tangible goods, I think it is, but it is also a
service. But I could be wrong. I want to know the best
way to market my service.
