Several of my clients run it on their servers and I
analyze the results for them. It works well, the
reports are clear and you can learn a lot from it
about your site's visitors.

It does depend upon the version. If you have an
older version, the reports are limited. I expect
that there is a limited set of reports in Virtual
WebTrends. Check out the WebTrends site, they may
have a free demo version you can try out.

The enterprise version ($2k+ is too expensive),
but the basic WebTrends software is good.

However, since many sites do not regularly analyze
their site's traffic, using any site analyzer is
better than buying an expensive one and not using
it regularly.

Besides WebTrends, I like Summary (it's only about $40).
It has the same data as WebTrends but the reports
aren't as 'fancy'. But I like it because it's
more interactive.
