I read the same article and found it (as well as the
little video clip of people on the street answering the
question "would you pay?") really interesting.

I just recently had my first encounter with a pay for
content situation. I have been a subscriber to a weekly
newsletter called ResearchBuzz, written by Tara
Calishain, for quite some time - www.researchbuzz.com

In last week's newsletter, she announced that she
will continue ResearchBuzz but is now also offering
ResearchBuzz Extra, which will give more resources
and more step-by-step discussions of how to find
things online.

To be quite honest, I couldn't sign up fast enough.
I've gotten a lot out of her weekly, have always been
impressed with her content and am only too happy to
pay the $20 for a year's subscription to add her new
newsletter to my inbox.

Pay for access and paid subscriptions aren't new,
just new to the mainstream. The internet is full of
available free information, so someone wanting to
charge better have quality content aimed at the right
eyes.

Just a thought,
