FindWhat has also used some less-than-ethical ways of
sending traffic to their advertiser's sites. I wrote
an article about this for the AssociatePrograms.com

The general idea was they were placing paid links in a
browser addon's "Bookmarks" file. The result is rather
untargeted visitors. People that got hit with this
trash traffic tend to have a bad view of FindWhat.
FindWhat admitted to doing this and doesn't see how
placing links in a bookmarks file is at all different
than targeted clicks through a search engine.

On the other hand, users who haven't appeared in the
browser add-on appear to have good opinions on FindWhat.
