what is virtual?

I recently have noticed there has been some
conversation about this virtual technique being used
to space up web pages and make them more interactive
and more entertaining for people? I'm sorry and
correct me if I'm wrong but I thought virtual meant
an interactive feature you can interact with? All I'm
seeing are the same flat web pages that are not
entertaining at all. Boring is a good word for the
so called virtual small sites people have to offer
and they call them virtual malls? Although, I did for
the first time come across a site (buythisminute.com)
that truly did what it claimed to do. I was extremely
excited about this because I could actually walk myself
thru this mall, walk into the front door of store
fronts and panoramic scan the inside of the store and
go anywhere my mouse would take me. Now that was a
true virtual mall I could interact with.I got to go as
fast or as slow as I wanted to and zoom in and out of
merchandise that I could actually be turned over and
replaced just like you found it. You should check this
site out it has great potential to teach people what
virtual reality really means.
