Tom, Engage has long been offering the ability for their
members to screen only pop* ads. In order to do so,
simply log in to SiteRegistry. Then, within the Ad
Blocking section, click on "Block Banner Attributes and
Characteristics" and block "Interstitial Pop-up
(Non-Obtrusive)" and "Interstitial Pop-up (Obtrusive)".
While Engage has been hit equally as hard as the other
online ad networks, and continues to trade below $1,
the company is working to improve its attractiveness
to both advertisers and publishers by cracking down on
violations within its membership ranks. IMHO, those
sites comform to Engage's terms will be in a solid
position as the ad market starts to turn around, and
should see their average CPM rates increase in direct
proportion to the decrease in inventory managed by
Engage Media.
Hang in there!
