plan for an email campaign

Want to ask if anyone on the list could email me copies
of an email campaign that they have done and had success
with, I am approaching doing my very first one and can't
find any recommended templates and time is creeping up
for me on this.. It is not relevant to any particular
email support house like yesmail.com, postmasterdirect,
etc. It is a plan that you've done and/or used for your
company. I am being asked to do an email campaign for a
newly launched company that makes a folding lap desk
that fits into our laptop carrying cases that when
unfolded is used as desk to keep our laptop securely
on our lap while sitting in a park, in a chair waiting
for a bus or plane,etc. Not trying to pitch here just
telling my start. And the target is mobile computing
professionals, mobile computing consumers, and students
of all levels.

Now I have to put the plan together and give it to the
services to get them to bid on it, I need a certain
number of conversions as the direct reult of the
campaign and as usual the client only has a few $K.
Recommendations on what services were good will also
be greatly appreciated, just help here by letting me
know why they were good, high click throughs or big
conversion and what %'s.
