What is the media REALLY looking for?

Confused and Perplexed

"The media" is too broad and understandably difficult
to define. Hand pick target media. Think of the editors'
target audience and adjust your message to fulfill their
needs. If you are targeting trade publications perhaps a
product plug and tips is suitable but if you are targeting
general or business news publications, the story needs to
be newsworthy. If consumer magazines are your target
"what's new" may be of interest.
