Raffle idea/questions - looking for feedback
This list has been helpful in the past many times, and
am looking for the same solid advice.
I have a computer graphic created in 1963 of the Mona
Lisa. It is a prime example of digital graphics from
a bygone time. It is in excellent condition and of
museum quality. I have had it appraised between $4
and $5 thousand dollars. Information and photos of this
unique piece can be found at www.digitalmonalisa.com
The Computer Museum in Boston and the Museum of
Computer History in Mountain View, CA each have one.
It was featured in the November 1999 issue of Wired.
I've been thinking about raffling it off on the net
but need a visibility partner (a site that gets the
kind of traffic a project like this needs to succeed)
to assist me. A portion of the proceeds could go to a c
harity. It would a unique item to raffle off (better
than a PDA, iMac or Beetle as most other sites do).
$3-$5 per chance to win Mona.
My questions to the group are:
1- What experiences have others in the group had with
online raffles?
2- Does anyone within this group know or represent an
online entity that would like to try this, or have
ideas as to who to approach?
Thank you sincerely for any and all information
everyone can supply.
Regards,
Andy Patros
