Advertising is Alive and Well, but how are the Marketers??!!

I have experience with several different ad serving
solutions and have heard a good deal about the death
of Online Advertising and such. What I am wondering
is this: If Online Advertising is dead, then why are
there still some sites doing so well? Is it sheer luck
or just that they have the right business model, the
right technology and the right niche?

And going back to my first statement, I was wondering
what everyone is using for ad serving? I have recently
heard about a few products and wondered if anyone was
familiar with and of them? Ad Juggler? Ad Octane? Open
AdStream Central??
