Concerning charging for content

An interesting article has appeared which boosts the
position of us nay-sayers (concerning charging for
content):

http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/apr2001/nf20010423_048.htm

And, for those who are curious about my position on the
new ad sizes, I have read the reports trickling in to
this list. I'm not ready to herald the new ads as the
wave of the future. Perhaps that is because I don't
want to redesign tens of thousands of pages of content.
Who can blame me for that? But as the newness wears
off, and as more inventory is devoted to these new ad
formats, we'll see whether an in-your-face attitude is
really going to sell more soap to the unwashed masses.

Until then, I'll reserve my final judgement on the matter.
