Net Growth Slows

This year's combination of the meltdown of free Internet
service providers (ISPs) and the digital subscriber
line (DSL) debacle has resulted in a decline in the
total number of U.S. Web subscribers for the first time
in more than 20 years, according to a survey by
Telecommunications Reports International (TRI), a
provider of communications industry information since
1934.
