Online marketing for the "Green Energy Industry"

One of my customers faces new developments in the
energy industry. As a supplier of electricity they
have to deal with an open market for green energy and
"normal" energy in the near future.

Does anybody have experience with online marketing of
green energy. Are there best practices and examples
available.
