Email lists are like cocktail parties.
On top of the high speed interaction, there are typos,
brain freezes, etc.
Most emailers consider it bad form to criticize the
grammar, vocabulary, or choice of words of the other
posters. Not just from being nice, but because the most
important thing is to get people expressing themselves,
because we all learn from it.
It's like the tax system. 5% of the people pay half the
personal income taxes (I'm one of them!)
On a list, 2% of the people will do half the postings.
Don't shoot them.
As to bad grammar in ads, Winston tastes good like a
cigarette should - and it is still coasting on the
results of that ad.
My marketing manager sent a fax out with the word
loose instead of lose in the headline, and doubled
response.
