MODERATOR'S NOTE: End to "English" and a virus rumor
Greetings all!
The past few days have shown a great deal of
controversy over the rules of grammar and their
role in the online community. Although a worthy
topic, it has, in my opinion, consumed too much
board and digest space and time. I would suggest
that it be taken up amongst those involved through
private emails. From this point forward, the thread
will be discontinued. Let's get back to the real
issues at hand.
On another note, a number of OA members were on
the receiving end of an email regarding what seems
to be a virus scam. If you received such an email,
please take note of the following. If you were lucky
enough not to be violated by this misuse of posting
members email addresses, feel blessed.
> DON'T delete SULFNBK.EXE, it is NOT a virus.
> Everybody has his file on their computers
> because it file helps Windows re-create long
> file names if they get corrupted.
> THIS "VIRUS" IS A HOAX.
> If you've deleted it already, you can reinstall
> that file from your Windows CD...
Thanks to all of you for responding with the truth
behind this virus hoax. Watching out for each other
is just another way that Online Ads has retained its
status as a well-respected, professional online
community for so many years.
Sincerely,
Adele Bienvenu
