I just wanted to send this to everyone on my email
list (yes... bcc'd) in the hope that you will not be
effected by this obvious prankster's hoax. If you have
been a victim of this you will be able to use the
information sent to me from McAfee to easily resolve
your problem. I felt compelled to send this to you
all, as everyone in our office has received this phony
virus warning.

Also, a quick shameless plug... (ohhh well.. I better
not :) )

Have a fantastic day!

All the best,

Michael Ehlenberger

Thank you for contacting the McAfee.com Virus
Support team. We have determined that you are not
inquiring about an actual virus. You do not risk
any data loss from either of these. You may visit
  http://vil.mcafee.com/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=99084&
for more information on this hoax. The file listed
in the email is a Windows file and should not be
deleted. If you have deleted this file, you will
need to restore it from your Windows CD, or contact
your system vendor for more information. Please read
the following definitions for further clarification:

  1. HOAX VIRUS: Similar to the "boy who cried wolf",
a virus hoax is an e-mail chain letter that warns a
user of a virus. In reality, the virus it mentions
does not exist. The only true purpose of the e-mail
is to spread disinformation in the web community. If
you receive a hoax e-mail, you should delete it and
inform the sender that the virus does not exist.

  2. JOKE VIRUS: A Joke virus is actually a program
that causes benign activities to occur on your
monitor. These activities cause no real damage, and
are only meant as a joke.

  MCAFEE.COM VIRUS INFORMATION LIBRARY
McAfee.com keeps track of Hoax and Joke viruses so
that our users can stay informed.
