No kidding - I was just going to ask about this myself.
Recently going to a Moreover.com feed I clicked on 3
newspapers - all of them top dailies for large cities -
and they were almost as thick with pop-ups as porn sites!

I sell my horoscopes via a subscription model - the more
"sticky" the higher the fee. I have a free version with
ads, but I find I have better response to direct sales.
You'll make more money in the long-run this way, unless
you have a real good in-house sales department.
