I have a very targeted niche being parents of 11th and 12th
grade students that will be going to college.
I have been using various pay per click providers to generate
traffic for approximately 130 different keywords.
Visitors to the site are able to request a free report.
The registration for the free report asks if the report is
being sent to the email address of the parent or student.
Over 90% of the requests for the free report are from students
and therefore the conversion ratio is far less than I believe
it should be. The parents will pay for my service not the
student.
After the free report is sent they automatically get a
monthly newsletter.
Two questions are as follows:
1. How to better target the parents of 11th and 12th
grade students.
2. How to get the students that are reading the free report
to pass the report and the website along to their parents.
I currently put a statement in the newsletter and free report
that if the person reading this report or newsletter is a
student and they have a parent that will be helping pay for
college make sure they print the report and give it to the
parent and to get the parent to the website.
