That stuff is over most of our heads <g>. I might know
a geek who can translate but if I could afford him ...

But that's not the reason I responded. I want to warn
you and anyone else out there doing mailing list scripts.
Make sure your script does not use recipient suppressed
headers. Make sure it sends out the emails individually -
one at a time. No matter how long that takes. Or block
Yahoo accounts from your system. Yahoo mail has put in
an arbitrary block that stops all BCC email over 100
names from coming to their mailserver. I had to turf 10%
of the subscribers to my horoscope list last month because
of this.

If you are managing a mailing list with sudden high
numbers of bouncing emails from one domain it's likely
to be Yahoo or some moron admin trying the same trick
at another ISP. See my gripe here:
http://www.astrology.ca/email-yahoo.html.

They say it is to keep spam down but that's a complete
red herring. Spammers can afford pricey software that will
easily get around this kludge. People deserve to know
their accounts have been censored - Yahoo has not informed
its customers that it is doing this, nor given them the
option to turn it off. Yahoo's suggestion to me - that I
use Yahoo Clubs! - came just a bit too pat and easily to
the rep I spoke with. You figure it out - what's the real
motivation?
