Now THIS is how you use Google AdWords
I received a spam e-mail today with the subject line
"Boost Your Windows Reliability". It talked about a
software program called WinFix. It included a URL to
http://jhgf.crazycradle.com/, which suggested that it
was a WinFix affiliate who was spamming.
I got curious and decided to type "WinFix" into Google
to see what it was all about. And I came across the
following ad in Google:
,-------------------------------------.
WinFix Scam (click here)
See how WinFix is inferior and
more expensive than its competitor.
www.superwin.com
`-------------------------------------'
Since the ad was so relevant to what I was thinking
about at the time, of course I clicked on it. The
target page gave a convincing argument (backed up by
a ZDNet Review) on why WinRescue is better than WinFix
in every respect.
Now, if I had been considering to buy WinFix, of
course I would have switched over to WinRescue, and
WinRescue would have just benefited from their
competitor's spam campaign - in a perfectly ethical way.
