Honesty and Authority

Rob Frankel's book "The Revenge of Brand X" is reviewed
in SEO specialist Michael Campbell's latest newsletter.
There's even an affiliate link to follow <g>. Campbell
(my favorite SEO guru) is pretty harsh on the layup
and design, but ultimately he gets past that and praises
the book highly.

To my mind, this sort of critical analysis is one of the
things that will come more and more to separate
successful internet marketers from the dinosaurs of the
"interruption" and "repetition" schools. *This* is how
you blend content with marketing - you become a critic
and an expert, and stick within a niche you know well.
You must be seen by your readers as an authority on your
subject, and that means actually *knowing* both the good
and the bad points of each product or company you
represent. It takes brutal honesty, due diligence, and
the commitment to promote only the stuff you actually
believe in. And it's more convincing than any glowing
review.

Kudos to both gentlemen.
