I first wanted to introduce myself. My name is Josh
Dahmes and I am an Project Manager of Internet Marketing.
I have experience in Search Engine Optimization, Banner
Advertising and Email Marketing, but the majority of my
experience has been in Affiliate Marketing. I just saw
a message asking about the "Big Three" and thought I
would let you all know my experience.
We have worked with both CJ and Be Free extensively,
but weren't impressed with the service and support by
Linkshare enough to work with them. We had actually
gotten a bad attitude from them from the beginning,
and continued follow up showed us that many of their
merchants and affiliates didn't trust them. Keep in
mind that opinion is based on others who have worked
with them, I never have. Be Free has the best
support out of all of them, but you pay for it. CJ
has gone through some major changes... and actually has
lost a lot of merchants due to either those changes or
other market forces. But CJ continues to bring in new
merchants and will hopefully see success with their
new model.
Keep in mind that there are others out there besides
the "Big Three" and some may fit better with your
particular model. Be Free and CJ as well as other
like MyAffiliateProgram all have advantages and
disadvantages... finding the right solution up front
is just as important as how you manage it after you
go live.
