Surprisingly, yes--even though I'm not sure if he means
that he'll be selling leads or buying them. At first
glance Ron's message seems absurd. Aren't there a zillion
companies out there doing what Ron proposes?
But my experience trying to manage ads (both buying and
selling) for eSnipe has proven otherwise. It turns out
that, as near as I can tell, no one is willing to help
me focus on the online auciton market--either placing or
accepting ads. Users spend well over $100 million per year
using my site to place auction bids. Yet I've not been
able to find an efficient way to sell ad space to my
well-targeted site (mostly collectors and buyers of
electronic goods). Luckily we are able to charge for our
services and we don't need the ad revenue. But eSnipe
would be a gold mine to the right advertiser--our users
spend a lot of money, and they know what they want.
Likewise, I've concluded that no one out there knows how
to broker the ads I want to place--I have to do all the
footwork as far as locating places to advertise. (I'll
be using keyword matches on Google.)
So yes, Ron--but I'd like you to be clearer as to
whether you'd be buying ads, placing them, or both.
Either way I'd like a reputable company who know how to
match my market with either places to advertise or
potential advertisers.
