Those of us in Affiliate Marketing have known for a
long time that text ads out perform banner ads by
something like 3 to 1. If you'd really like to "broker"
this type of ad, start an affiliate program (can be done
easily in house with a software like MyAffiliateProgram.com)
and begin pitching CPA deals to potential partners who
share your target market. Then be sure to give them
relevant text ads that can be imbedded in a contextual
way inside their content. It works! Even banner ads that
look like text work better than fancy graphical ones. Be
sure to test, test, test, with all kinds of text ads.
Don't forget to use your company name as one of the text
ads. In newsletter advertising, which is very effective,
your partner can sprinkle your name in an article and
every time your name appears, it can be a trackable,
payable link. Try it, you'll like it! Good luck!
