Re: affiliate junk

Folks, this debate is getting more depressing by the
minute. It appears President Bush was correct, our
schools are a dismal failure at teaching reading and
math.

I hope this will be my last post on the subject, but
I cannot let this last pathetic attempt to misuse the
numbers go unanswered despite the fact that I am
saddened to think that this effort is even necessary.

MICHAEL EHLENBERGER <michael_at_premiumnetwork.com> WROTE:

Michael, please. Did you bother to read what I wrote
before you "did the math" for us?

Do the words "...the commissions paid to affiliates by
my merchants alone..." have any meaning to you at
all?

Let me make this as clear as possible. The $200,000
paid for the month was for MY 20 or so referred
merchants only, NOT for CJ's entire list of 1500.

It is just this kind of repeated misrepresentation that
continues to mislead the uninformed and defame the
industry. I certainly don't believe that the affiliate
marketing industry is perfect, as anyone who reads
my newsletter will tell you, but let's at least try to
keep the criticism accurate and fair.

The correct math shows that with 20 merchants
paying out over $200,000 the average payout per
merchant is in excess of $10,000. Not nearly as
large as I would like to see it but clearly not the
$133.33 or other ridiculous numbers offered by
the previous readers who have attempted to "do
the math" for us.
