Its not null, its "self" - your own computer.
If you happen to run Webserver on your local computer
than you will actually get something (Error 404
- page not found in case of blocked ads).

Myself I block pretty much all ads at home,
however I don't think its a major problem at all
because most people just IGNORE ads in their minds
anyway.

Now thats a problem to tackle.

Whatever it is, you will be able to see plummeting
response rates.
