Self-Service Ads

There are a few vendors with available solutions for
instant purchase/upload of web ads, and Pud from
F'ckedCompany seems to be opening up an ASP-system for
publishers. I've bought a few thousand ads this way
and have been pleased with the response. Does anyone
see a micro-marketplace possibly being built here
where the transactions become more frictionless?
