Hi All
My name is Michael Wood and I_m from a South African
Communication agency, The Kashan Group. I have enjoyed
and benefited from the discussions of this group for
almost two years. This is my first submission to the group
and is essentially to seek advice and possibly to elicit
some discussion. We recently launched our international
graphic design service, targeted primarily at design
studios and advertising/communication agencies worldwide.
The service provides agencies and studios with the
opportunity to extend their capacity without increasing
their design resources, while improving their lead times
and reducing their costs.
The service, inspired by the Rand/Dollar exchange rate
and the quality of local design, ranges from the design
of adverts through to annual reports and makes it possible
for clients to submit a design brief, view the design,
submit any changes that might be required and accept and
procure, from anywhere in the world. Fulfilment includes
worldwide collection of material and delivery of
'finished artwork/bureau ready' designs.
Whilst the service will essentially be marketed through
a network of international offices/agents and dedicated
marketers, our on-line briefing and procurement facility
for graphic design, will play a vital role in the sales
and production cycle (as far as we can tell it_s a world
first).
In designing the site, we have tried to build in
recommendations and observations that have been made by
this group with regard to other sites. Just one thing _
when you_re this close to a project there_s a risk of
oversights and this is where your advice comes in. Have
we succeeded? Is the site functional? I would really
appreciate your input. The site can be viewed at www.kashangroup.com.
Regards
Michael Wood
