Five bucks that says their stock is in the toilet
within six months. I've found that the death knell
for many companies is when they launch a media tour
with the financial press. Last year, I managed
to do real well with Copper Mountain stock. It was
trading at 80 and they announced all kinds of stuff to
the financial press. Partnership agreements. Bold
pronouncements. You name it.
I loaded up.
Sure enough, the stock rocketed to 130 -- in five days.
I sold it. Two weeks later, it had dropped a full 100
points.
I'm no financial genius, that's for sure -- I've got the
COVAD stock to prove it. But I can smell horsefluff a
full twenty miles out -- and this is the genuine article.
