This is one where common sense comes into play.

If you want to do a scientific test, I suggest you
alter any campaign and marketing work done for
impactengine.com to see if the results are positive.

Granted, you may be able to generate a short term
boost in activity due to the curiosity factor, but in
the longer term you would be perceived as the
nagging spouse or parent, or attention-starved
individual doing negative things to get response
that positive behaviors don't generate for you.

In other words, it's a loser.
