CPA, CPM...

I've been watching this interesting banter about CPA
and CPM for a couple of weeks now and find it all
very interesting. I'd like to know how many others
have maybe shared in my experience. When looking at
the $12 Million in interactive media placements I
did over the last 12 months, I have found that my
CPM deals DID work, quite successfully (over 706%
ROI to be exact) and NONE of the CPA deals delivered
anything worth tracking. I have found that any
venues that do offer CPA or CPC deals have been
worthless for my clients. Maybe it's our target
audience, or a difference in product that makes CPC
worth it. While I understand, of course, why a
client would like a CPC deal, I still have yet to
see a site that allows that to be worth a dime in
terms of really motivated conversions. Has anyone
else found that the CPC model doesn't deliver the
same conversions as their CPM deals?
