Online Advertising - Going About it
Many of my clients (for whom I make web sites) approach me to
market their sites too. I had been doing step-by-step. When I
started, I didn't know how to code an HTML page, and recently I
made shopping carts for two clients. One objective achieved.
The second was Internet Marketing (Advertising), which I want to
pick up now. I'd like to start with the jargons. Are CPA, CPM,
CP??? all components of Internet Marketing (what are they?!).
Is there some online material available on how to look for
advertising space, what should be the rate of displaying my
client's sites on other sites and what should be the rate if I
agree to put up some banners on one of my sites. Do we go
through a third party or can directly approach a site for
putting up the banners.
I know it's a long question, but there are many more questions.
I have lots of ideas, but first I need to define them. I've
been reading the ongoing debate and trying to assimilate a few
banner-advertising concepts.
