I used to own a list hosting service and operated a small
network of affiliates, mostly current customers. I paid
a $50 referral fee to anyone who sent us a new customer.
So paying a flat referral fee, instead of a percentage,
would simplify things and simplicity is always helpful
in building trust between you and your affiliates.
If my experience is any guide here, your most
successful affliates will be your existing customers
who are in the best position to explain the value
of your service to others.
