Amrit, you are exactly right. Good creative is very
important in online advertising. But many people don't
seem to believe this.

I've worked with two companies that purchased the same
ad placement to promote a similar product. Over a
one-month period, one ad delivered a 1.9% CTR and the
other delivered a .5% CTR. I have also seen two ads from
the same company deliver significantly different results.

Based on results from our sites, message and color play
a huge role in the performance of banner ads.

Message: Is there a call to action or a clear benefit
Color: Yellows and reds consistently generate the best
results
