Re: Case studies of promotional mini-cd's for Web sites

I've used promotional normal sized CDs and wouldn't
recommend it. It was for a music site, targeting
consumers and the response in no way justified the
outlay. And if you're using music, it can
work out very expensive because of all the rights.

Whenever I get a promo CD, I either bin it immediately
or leave it in my in tray to look at tomorrow - but
tomorrow never comes... If I get a decent looking
invitation through the post, assuming it's for
something I'm remotely interested in, I'd be a lot
more likely to go.

When I went to COMDEX, all the techies were trying to
get as many CDs as possible but I think that had rather
a lot more to do with the software on them than the
format!

I'd be more likely to respond to a (plain text) e-mail
and have used this method to arrange promotional parties
before with great response.

Costs a lot less too...

Cheers
