People are used to receive regular sized CD's so this

Unfortunately, even if you're not using music, you must have
either a good software or great promotional material...

That can be expensive again!

Still, in some cases you can use some fairly inexpensive
royalty free solutions both music or software...

While I too, do tend to drop a lot ofpromotional CD's, I think
we should explain the reasons for doing so.

Here are two that I can instantly think of:

1. I am not at all interested in type of services/product that is
being advertised/demonstrated on the CD.

There is nothing this advertiser can do to get hands on my money!
Being a CD, Mini-CD or a flyer... I wouldn't buy this one anyway.


2. I am interested in this type of service/product but the CD
looks "cheap", not-trustworthy.

Maybe this advertiser would have more luck if he would invest
more in design and production of his promotional material...

That's truth to some extent.

Content is the King!

That goes for the CD's too.

However, packaging IS EXTREMELY important again!

Mini CD or irregular shaped CD will draw much more attention.

Ouch!

In my case, the plain text message would work ONLY in case
I already know and work with you. Othervise... there is a folder
in my Outlook... it's caled SPAM :-(

It's a doorway to "Deleted Items"...

We may not like it but *moderate* spamming does work...
Not all people are spam sensitive as I am.

And it IS cost effective :-(
