Actually in most cases, no! I've seen many, many business
sites eventually disappear from the Yahoo Business/Commercial
categories. There's really no way to get listed in Yahoo if
you're a business oriented web site unless via their Yahoo
Express submission service. If you're a non-profit
organization, or a personal web site that doesn't need to be
listed in any of Yahoo's Business/Commercial categories, then
you're fine.

LookSmart is also a paid placement submission site. And if
you're a non-profit organization, LookSmart's ZEAL site
<http://www.zeal.com> is the place to add your site.

And let's not forget DMOZ <http://www.dmoz.com> (the Open
Directory Project). You can freely add your site there.
Indeed, if your site isn't there, go stick it there!

Again, I've found a lot of success using INKTOMI's paid inclusion
program. You can't beat the exposure for $30.00 per URL.
