Steve, you just missed this discussion on FrankelTips --
we devoted two issues to it this month!

My take is that without knowing the details, your boss
is closer to the mark. Unless the sub-brand is so
markedly different and deserving of its own identity, I'd
say you want to bring everyone through the main brand,
into the sub-brand, so that they can see the connection.

To do otherwise is to suggest that the sub-brand is almost
autonomous -- one step away from being its own brand.
